Description:
SEE BELOW FOR OUR NEXTPET ADOPTION!! Ruger is about 2 years old and a super snuggler! He's doing very well with housebreaking! He will usually stand by the door to go outside (not necessarily to potty, just likes to go out a lot!) He's GREAT with cats and pretty much ignores them, a rare terrier quality! He's EXCELLENT with other dogs and another dog his size would be a great playmate for him, although he doesn't mind taking his Aussie foster sister down on the ground either! He's a submissive dog and is not easily provoked. He occasionally has the typical Jack Russell energy but it is more than manageable with one good walk per day and maybe a nice run at the dog park once a week! He mostly just likes his 'lap time'. Ruger MUST have a secure fenced in yard, NO exceptions. He's only 15 pounds and can squeeze out of almost anything in order to go exploring or to be with you. (This inlcludes any and all baby gates AND car windows, as his foster mom found out in the gas station parking lot...). A chain link fence is best but a secure privacy fence would work well also as long as it reaches the ground. Home visits will be conducted for Ruger. He WILL NOT go to a home without a fenced yard! Ruger is a little excitable as he's only about 2 yrs old, and will playbite, lick with kids, and jump unless given a firm 'no'. He has been exposed to kids (a 5 and 3 yr old) and loved running with them! Ruger sleeps quietly in his kennel at night and occasionally sleeps with his foster mom in bed, and will start to whine when it's time to wake up. He was started with a training collar this week and loves to go for walks. He will run alongside a bike for 2-3 miles with no problems keeping up and had a blast at the dog park running everywhere! For more information on this great boy please e-mail boll1420@yahoo.com Saving One Life at a TIme! NEXT PET ADOPTIONS: will be Sunday Oct 25th from 12-2 at the Dog City Dog Park which is located on the South East corner of Hwy 169 & Bass Lake Road - 5701 International Parkway . 55428 If you would like to meet specific dog at pet adoption please e-mail ahead of time to verify that dog will be there. They do not all make it to pet adoptions but fosters are more then willing to meet outside of that time.
