Chance is a 1yo male hound mix who was surrendered by his owner who was in failing health and could no longer care for him. Chance's mother was a purebred Treeing Walker Coonhound but his father is unknown. Chance is friendly and well-socialized with a medium activity level. Loves to run and play outside, but then settles down quickly in the house. Likes to go for walks, loves to be with people, enjoys being petted and brushed. Great with kids, cats and other dogs. Recommended for children 6 years and older. Good on a leash, rides great in the car. Knows basic commands. Not crate-trained because he doesn't need crating. Housebroken and no issues such as separation anxiety, counter surfing or barking. Weighs about 85#, healthy, altered and utd on shots. Here's a note from his foster mom: 'Chance is a gentle, well-behaved young dog who loves all people, he's a real sweetheart, very affectionate. He has never lived with kids but greets them happily with lots of kisses when he meets kids at the dog park or the petstore. He's very good when he goes to the vet, remains very patient and cooperative even during nail trimming. He's not formally obedience trained but walks well on a leash and spontaneously sits when the walker stops. Knows how to 'shake.' And he's very responsive to human emotions. Will comfort a human who is crying or in distress by whining and hovering and licking him. This is an awesome dog with wonderful temperament and he will make a great companion for an active family.'To adopt please fill out an adoption application. For more information about our adoption procedures and fees, please visit our homepage at Good Dog Rescue. For more information or if your have questions email us at email@example.com.
