See Winslow's Homepage Loving Hound mix Hey there!! My name is Winslow. I am a hound mix breed -- just not sure what I am mixed with - hee hee! I am a gentle giant and love to wander - a lot. I love long - long - long walks in the country. Anyone that wants to adopt me has a great walking partner!!! In fact, the story of how I came to the Hemingway Group is interesting. I was registered with Guilford Animal Control and was adopted out. I was abandoned and then walked almost 100 miles to finally end up with the Hemingway Group. I was a mess when I finally arrived -- you could see my ribs and I was covered in fleas. That was several months ago -- I am all better now! Boy! Those people gave me lots of TLC and of course nutritious food. These have been the key to my totally excellent recovery!!!! I am now in a life style change program -- well that is what they tell me here :-) I need to get into shape. Yup - you guessed it, lots of more long, long walks!!! I am a very loving companion. I am great with people, cats and other dogs. I love my walks but also like to curl up inside with my family. I really like the constant companionship with humans -- I would have a rough time if I was left at home alone for long periods of time -- so please do not consider me for adoption if everyone goes to work all day and leaves me at home alone :-( Although I like the outdoors, I want to live inside with my human family!!
