Registered Name: Bicentennial Man Call Name: --Dagwood-- Whelp Date: June 21, 2004 Dagwood recently came to us from Bahama Mama Kennel after competing in 34 races at Derby Lane and Palm Beach Kennel Club. Dagwood retired from racing at a very young age. As with all the dogs from his kennel, Dagwood is very well cared for and loves people. All the dogs in Dagwood's litter had names starting with the letter 'D'. Besides Dagwood, there is also Dutch, Duke, Doodles, and Dabbles. Dutch and Dagwood's 1/2 sister, Bythewatersedge (Shamu) have already been adopted through Bay Area Greyhound Adoptions. Dagwood is being fostered in a home with another dog and is quickly settling in to be a nice house dog. He gets along well with the other dogs in his home and also is fine with cats and small dogs. Dagwood is a little shy around new places, but is doing very well in his home and will be a very nice pet. He was playing in his yard and had a stress fracture on his hind leg, which is now in a splint. He is doing fine and his leg should heal with no surgery needed. He will be available for adoption around the first of June. He will need to be leash walked and not allowed to run for approximately 6 weeks after that. We also would like to find a home for Dagwood where he would not have to negotiate a flight of stairs. Dagwood's $225 adoption fee includes his neuter, teeth cleaning, all vaccines, microchip, leash and collar, and an adoption guide.
