Description:
Registered Name: --Leadfoot Bubba-- Call Name: --Boomer-- Whelp Date: --Octobr 30, 2002-- Color: --Brindle-- Boomer recently came to us after breaking his right rear leg while racing. He is now in a splint, but already putting weight on his leg and doing very well. He should be out of his splint and ready for adoption around the first of June. After that, Boomer will need to be leash walked for a month to six weeks before he is allowed to run or go to a dog park. We would also recommend a home where he would not have to negotiate a flight of stairs at this time. Boomer competed in 82 races at Palm Beach, Flagler (Miami) and Mardi Gras (Hallandale) tracks. He is tall and elegant, a really striking greyhound, certain to be noticed wherever he goes. Boomer has a wonderful, quiet and easy-going demeanor. In fact, Boomer is one of the sweetest greyhounds we have ever had. He made a tremendous impression on everyone at his first meet-and-greet because of his sweet and gentle temperament. He is very laid back, yet is a very happy, playful and affectionate dog. He has no concept of his size (82 lbs), and likes to lean against you, or at least touch you if you are near enough. He really enjoys it if you will lie on the floor with him and let him snuggle. He walks quietly while on a leash, and rides well in the car. Boomer is ldoing fine in the house and gets along just fine with the other greyhounds in his foster home. He has also tested as cat friendly, although he has not actually lived with a cat. Boomer seems to love everyone, and appears to be especially good with children. We feel he will be a great family dog. Boomer's $225 adoption fee includes his neuter, all vaccines, microchip, leash and collar, adoption guide, and a grooming kit. Boomer is such a nice dog that he will not be available for very long. If you are interested in meeting Boomer or reserving him for your own, please call us at 813/272-2332.
