Description:
Beethoven was born on New Year's Day, and was put in a beer box with her five siblings and left with her great pyrenees mother who was tired to a street sign, the blood from giving birth still on her. She was just close enough to be able to nurse her pups. It was a cold ten degree day, one of the pups did not survive. Beethoven is very friendly and outgoing. He has beautiful markings and a nice conformation. He is the only male in the litter. The pups in this litter are large boned and stocky, and adorable. They have been raised with young children, other dogs, and cats, too, and are well socialized. Beethoven will be placed as inside pet with outside privileges to a secure above ground fenced yard. Pyrs do not do well with wireless fencing. We require puppy and adult obedience training obedience training for all newly adopted dogs less than 6 months old, to help you create a special bond with you and your new friend, and so you have a well socialized and behaved canine companion.

About Us: National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR) is not a shelter. We are a not-for-profit, tax-exempt coalition of Pyr rescuers and rescue groups. We save Pyrs and Pyr mixes across the country and place them in approved foster homes to learn how they will interact with your family. NGPR dogs are fostered for a minimum of two weeks or more, spayed or neutered and fully vetted before placement. NGPR will take back any dog who does not succeed in its new home. Many NGPR volunteers are members of the AKC breed club, adhere to their rescue guidelines for purebred Pyrs and apply these standards to the adoption of Pyr mixes as well. Visit www.nationalpyr.org to learn more about us, our mission and our breed. More Information: Questions? The fastest way to learn more about a dog is to fill out the application form. If you call or e-mail you are reducing your chances of adopting as we direct our time and energy to first serving those who apply.
