Description:
Walter is another one of our precious dogs that we took in with open arms. Walter is about 8 to 10 years old, not a prime candidate for most rescues. We are a true rescue for our breed - and accept the unwanted that others feel are unadoptable. Walter is not housetrained yet but he will be shortly. He is scared and confused as to where he is now. He seems to get along with dogs and cats (but a bit scared right now). He is very special to me - as he fills a hole that was left in my heart by my Phoenix. You have no idea how deeply you can fall in love with a settled elderly pyr that has never known love in their life. They appreciate the smallest things - a rub on the chest, a scratch behind the ears, regular meals twice a day, a warm comfy bed to sleep, a jump to invite play lighting up their face and the quiet time together. Walter is neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on shots, heartworm and flea medication.
Walter is an exceptional Great Pyrenees dog who has been selected for sponsorship by National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR). He is currently being fostered out of our area and NGPR will arrange for his transport to an approved home. Please fill out our application form and we will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
