Duchess is about 9 months old and was originally found as a stray in KY and ended up in a rural shelter , where she was burned with bleach that they used to clean the kennels. She was adopted by someone who had too many dogs and was then placed into our rescue. She is a wonderful, calm, and laid back girl. She gets along great with other dogs and loves to play and romp with them too! She is also fine with cats too. She would be a great family addition. Duchess will be placed as inside pet with outside privileges to an above ground securely fenced yard. Pyrs do not do well with wireless fencing.
We require obedience training for all dogs adopted under 1 year of age. and recommend obedience training for all newly adopted pyrs, to help you create a special bond with you and your new friend.
Duchess is spayed, heartworm negative and up to date on shots, heartworm and flea medication.
She is an exceptional Great Pyrenees dog who has been selected for sponsorship by National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR).
