This is a courtesy posting. Cami, a two year old Great Pyrenees mix, is a diabetic and will need a family who understands the Pyr breed and is willing to take on a fabulous dog with a slight imperfection. She is amazing with the typical endearing Pyr attitude--laid back, lovable, & sweet. She is a smaller 'package' though, weighing in at only 67 lbs. & 26.5' tall, however, her diabetes makes it somewhat difficult to put a substantial amount of weight on her. Cami, though young, is not well-suited to a hectic environment. She doesn't mind kids, but is very nervous around a lot of noise and commotion. She doesn't particularly like very small dogs or dogs that can 'tower' over her. This is not to say that She is dog aggressive--she is NOT. She just doesn't like to be bothered, and would probably do best as either an only child or maybe with one other buddy. We are working on her social skills & have her enrolled in basic obedience.
There are several things you can do to help this gentle sweetheart:1. Adopt! If Cami looks like the girl for you, fill out an adoption application today!2. FOSTER! This is a temporary commitment that gives Cami, and all dogs just like her, the time necessary to find the loving home they deserve. Your generous decision to foster can literally mean the difference between life and death.3. Donate! In upwards of $8/day, Boarding isn't cheap. A donation of just $25 can give all boarded dogs 3 whole days to find the home they have been waiting their whole life for. Vet bills. These can sometimes run into the thousands per dog. Every penny counts when it comes to vet bills!
As always, all donations are gratefully accepted, and completely tax deductible!
Cami is neutered, heartworm negative and up to date on shots, heartworm and flea medication.
Cami is an exceptional Great Pyrenees dog who has been selected for sponsorship by National Great Pyrenees Rescue (NGPR). She is currently being fostered out of our area and NGPR will arrange for her transport to an approved home. Please fill out our application form and we will get back to you shortly. Thanks.
