Sadie is an awesome 5 year old Great Dane. She's had a rough couple of weeks, but she's bouncing back and you'd never know! She was part of someone's family, and when they couldn't afford veterinary care for her when she went into labor and had trouble giving birth, they turned her over to Lifeline. Sadie ended up losing her puppies, and it has taken her a little while to get over that, but now she's playing, full of energy, and very affectionate! She's very smart and obedient, and likes to 'talk' to you when she gets excited or wants to go out or eat. She loves putting her head on your lap for a little attention. She's the kind of dog that will lay down beside her humans and doesn't always need a leash. So far, she's been good around all the people, dogs, and cats that she's met. Sadie still needs to put on a little weight and get a dental cleaning, but she's ready for her forever home! The veterinarian that performed her surgery is fostering her now, and she's been absolutely wonderful to have around...especially when she greets her at the door with a hand shake!
All of our dogs and cats are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped. Dogs are also tested for heartworms and cats for FeLV/FIV. If a dog has been with us long enough, he/she has also received some basic obedience training with our in-house trainer and staff.
