Description:
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at www.rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications can be found on the home page. Female, 1.5 year, Brindle, Natural Ears Sheba is an affectionate 21-month-old female brindle Dane with natural ears (one of which flops over on the top of her head when she’s curious or excited). She came to Rescue with her brother after their former owners bred them for pups to sell in exchange for drugs. “We love how lovable and cuddly Sheba is. She will lay her head in our laps and look at us like we’re the greatest people in the world just for being there for her.” Sheba is wonderful with bigger dogs and gets along famously with children of all ages (she does not enjoy the company of smaller animals – canine or feline!). Because she is only now learning about indoor living, Sheba is learning house training and proving to be a very quick study! She can be shy at first, but she warms up quickly. Her foster mom says, “When Sheba was first introduced to our six-year-old son, she walked right up to him and licked his face. Then they started playing, and you would have thought they’d lived together forever. It’s such a blessing knowing that such a big creature has such a gentle and loving nature.” Sheba loves people – big and small – and won’t miss out on an opportunity to give or receive love. She has a lot of puppy energy, and loves to play and ride in the car. Her foster mom adds, “All in all, Sheba is a wonderful companion. She’s got plenty of energy, but she’s not overbearing. She’s smart, friendly, lovable, playful and goofy. She’s going to make a family very happy.”
