Description:
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at www.rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications can be found on the home page. Norm is a mellow 4-year-old male fawn Dane with natural ears. He came to Rescue after he was rescued from a bad situation by a family that couldn’t keep him because they already had several other dogs. Though not much is known about his past, Norm clearly has had a very rough life. He is not familiar with toys or treats. Although he’s already a very large Dane, his foster family is working on putting weight on him as he is underweight. Norm is great with dogs, cats and children. He knows some of his basic commands, is house trained and trustworthy with free roam. Norm is very laid-back. He is content to rest on the floor or a blanket and doesn’t try to get on the furniture. Due to his past, he is rather timid and is a very submissive dog. He will do best in a calm household, because loud noises and fast movements scare him. He’s great in the car, and loves to go for walks. His foster mom says, “Norm just wants to be loved. He will stand next to me to be petted and if I stop, he gently nuzzles my arm or hand for more attention. If I hit that 'right spot' he lets out a moan that just melts your heart.
