Malika is a beautiful 5 1/2 year old mantle (black and white) female Dane with natural ears. She came to Rescue when her previous owner had to move into an apartment that does not allow dogs. Malika is a big lover who requires a lot of loving attention from her humans! She is not aggressive, but like many Danes, she is protective of her home and barks when she sees or hears someone approaching the house. She quickly makes friends with newcomers if she understands that they are not a threat to her family. Malika knows her basic commands and is trustworthy with free roam. She is good with dogs, cats and children of all ages. Malika loves to play with other dogs and humans, as well as stuffed toys. She enjoys the water and likes to learn tricks for treats (Her personal favorite? Ice cubes!). According to her foster mom, 'Mailka is just so sweet and gentle, you cannot help but fall in love with her.' Malika will make a loyal addition to a home looking to love an older Dane with a big personality and gigantic heart.
