Male, 1.5 years, Brindle, Natural Ears Hooper is an active and friendly 21-month-old male brindle Dane with natural ears. He came to Rescue with his sister after their former owners bred them for pups to sell in exchange for drugs. His foster mom says, “Hooper loves to lean on me and wants to be petted. He just wants acceptance from his humans.” Hooper is a typical Velcro Dane. Hooper is good with dogs, cats and children of all ages. He is very energetic and loves to play with other dogs. He is quickly learning his basic commands and leash walking, and he’s proving to be a very quick learner. Because Hooper has not lived indoors, he does not have the manners of an indoor dog. He is strong and overzealous when he plays which requires a strong pack leader to teach him boundaries and how to be a good house dog. His foster mom adds, “I love to watch Hooper play. He loves to toss his fleece pull toy up into the air and jump up to catch it. I never knew a dog that big could be so acrobatic! I also love the sweetness in his eyes.”
