George is an affectionate 3-year-old merle male Dane with cropped ears. He was surrendered to Rescue after his previous owners divorced and were not allowed to move him into their smaller apartments. Although he is not well socialized and shy at first, George does well with dogs, cats and children of all ages. He knows his basic commands and is trustworthy with free roam. His foster mom says, “George is a very affectionate and loving dog. He is one of the sweetest, most gentle dogs I know. George is truly a loving dog. He’ll be the one you can come home to after a long, rough day and will be there to comfort you.” George’s favorite activities are spending time with his humans, laying the grass outside and playing with the other dogs and children in the house. His foster family is working with him on walking on a leash and socializing. He is learning quickly and making good progress. His foster mom adds, “George had never been to a vet before I took him in. The poor thing was shaking and trembling the whole time. However, when the vet had him standing up, that was a challenge, but my four year old walked up to him and told him, ‘It’s okay Big Boy,’ and he gave her a big kiss.” George will make a loving and loyal companion to a forever family with willing to share with him and love him back for the rest of his days!
