Chopper is a gentle 4-year-old male fawn Dane with cropped ears and a heart of gold. He came to Rescue after his previous owner acquired him from Craigslist only to realize a few weeks later that he has a medical issue related to his back. However, Chopper’s condition is completely controllable and he doesn’t let it stand in the way of leading a healthy and active life. According to his foster mom, this sweet boy “has a heart that’s about as big as his whole body!” Chopper is good with dogs, cats and children (he currently lives with a 16-month-old and a 3-year-old). He’s even good with bunnies! After meeting a baby bunny, he nudged it, licked it and let it go on its way. Chopper is a very calm Dane who is content to be with his humans and – a big fan of water – is happiest when his water bowl is full! Chopper is typically protective of his home but affectionately welcomes strangers once introduced. He is trustworthy with free roam and comes when called. One of his favorite activities is romping at the dog park, where he is sure to make fast friends with those around him. Chopper is a complete lover with a gigantic heart and even bigger personality! He will make a wonderful addition to a family with a loving generous spirit to match his own.
