Caden is a striking and playful 5-year-old Piebald (black and white) male Dane with natural ears. He came to Rescue from an animal shelter, so not much is known about past. In the first few days with his foster family, Caden made himself right at home! He quickly befriended his foster sister and follows his foster dad from room to room. Caden is house trained, trustworthy with free roam, crate trained and a big fan of bones, chasing squirrels in the yard and sleep! His favorite hobby is lying on the floor and acting as his foster dad’s pillow – or vice versa! Caden is generally submissive. He has been in a few altercations with male dogs but seems to get along fine with females. He has yet to be tested with cats; he adores humans, however, he has not been around small children but we feel given his nature he’ll be great with them. Caden’s foster family is working on his basic commands, and he is proving himself a very quick learner and eager to please. He has an affinity for apple slices as sweet motivating treats, as well. Caden is a very gentle soul who loves having his head scratched behind the ears. He is a genuine “Velcro Dane” who follows his humans around the house. Like many Danes, Caden is not afraid to tell you when he wants a good scratch! In general, he is a complete couch potato indoors, but when he goes outside it’s every man – or dog! – for himself! Caden loves to run and play. This special dog will make a welcome addition to one lucky family with lots of energy and affection to give!
