Male, 2 years, Merle, Natural Ears Buster is a playful 2-year-old dark merle male Dane with natural ears. His foster mom says, “Buster is a beautiful sweetheart who loves to rest his head on your leg, shoulder, head – or whatever he can! – and make sure you know he is there for whatever love you can give him.” Buster gets along well with dogs, cats and children of all ages (he currently lives with a Retriever, a cat and a five-year-old girl). He is fully house trained and knows his basic commands. He is learning to walk on a gentle leader and is proving to be a very quick learner. Buster is not an alpha dog; he submits to other dogs in most cases. He follows his foster mom everywhere and tends to favor female attention. Like many Danes, Buster thinks he is a lap dog and demonstrates ‘Velcro Dane’ characteristics. He is also quite a Houdini! His foster mom says, “The other day I left Buster and my Lab in the garage for a few hours. They were set up with their beds, fed and watered, but when I came home, only my Lab was sitting in the garage. Buster was just resting on the couch inside the house … he had somehow managed to turn the door knob and nose his way in!” Buster will make a loyal – and entertaining! – addition to one lucky family willing to give him back all the love he will give.
