Description:
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at www.rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications can be found on the home page. Male, 1.5 years, Fawn, Natural Ears Bernard is a regal 1.5-year-old male fawn Dane with natural ears and soulful brown eyes. He came to Rescue after being found wandering in a snow storm; his microchip was locally registered, but no one responded to the calls. Bernard is very well behaved, house trained and knows his basic commands. He is good with dogs and children of all ages (although, because he is not always aware of his large size, he is recommended for a home with children over the age of five). Because he is not a big fan of cats or small dogs, Bernard would also do best in a home without them. His foster mom says, “This gorgeous boy just wants to be loved! If most Danes are Velcro then Bernard is Superglue—he likes to be touching his human at all times!” Bernard enjoys playing at the dog park – where he can show off his jackrabbit imitation – and going for walks. Bernard is adept at jumping and will do best in a home with a high fence. Bernard draws a lot of attention in public and is admired wherever he goes. “Bernard is so much fun to watch play—he’s a big, clumsy Marmaduke! He hopes for a home with lots of love and attention to give.”
