Description:
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at www.rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications can be found on the home page. Sinbad is a 1 year old, affectionate, Brown with black flecks, male Dane mix with natural ears. He came to RMGDRI from a shelter in Kansas so not much is known about his past. Sinbad loves everyone he meets with a lean and tail wag. He is fond of the outdoors; running and playing in the grass with a ball is his favorite activities. While he enjoys the outdoors, Sinbad should not be left alone outside as he likes to escape. He enjoys water and is eager for baths, and loves playing and drinking from the hose. Sinbad doesn’t know much about indoor life, but he is feeling more comfortable every day. He is very motivated by positive praise and knows his basic commands. Sinbad is currently learning how to walk well on a leash. He is completely housetrained and does well with free roam. Sinbad does well with children, but introductions with other dogs should be done slowly as he is not very socialized. During introductions he attempts to be dominant, but quickly finds his place in the pack and does not challenge his position. His behavior with cats is unknown although he loves to chase anything that runs. Sinbad would do well in an active forever home that is willing to give him the exercise and play time he needs.
