Echo is a sweet 5-year-old male brindle Dane/Mastiff mix with natural ears. He came to Rescue after being picked up as a stray by Aurora Animal Services. His foster mom says, “I don’t know how anyone could let such a sweet boy slip away! We think he has spent most of his life outside, on concrete, without a lot of love. Learning to be an indoor dog has been a new experience for him, even though he has great manners and is perfectly housebroken.” Echo is a rare Dane who is perfectly content to sleep at his humans’ feet or in his crate. He is protective of his home, and will let you know if someone is at the door. Although it takes him a while to warm up to strangers, Echo eventually comes out of his shell with and gives nothing but love. He is a very mellow dog who is more content to watch his younger foster siblings play than to get involved himself. His foster mom says Echo was the star at his first Meet and Greet event: “His gentle demeanor, the way he puts his head in your lap and paws you when you try to stop petting him, his awesome coloring – he is everything we would have ever wanted in a Dane, and he is going to make a very lucky family very happy.”
