Description:
For more information about this Dane, please visit our website at www.rmgreatdane.org. Adoption Applications can be found on the home page. Male, 1.5 years, Merle Mix, Natural Ears Silas is a playful 1.5-year-old merle male Catahoula/Dane mix with natural ears. He was surrendered to Rescue when his previous owners could no longer care for him. His foster mom says, “Silas is such a happy-go-lucky guy. He is so sweet and loving, it’s hard not to absolutely adore him! Silas does not have a mean bone in his body.” Silas is house and crate trained. He is excellent with children (he lives with a five-year-old), knows his basic commands, and is good with dogs – he’s not very tolerant of cats. Silas loves to go for walks and does very well with a gentle leader. He absolutely loves to play and his favorite activity is catch. Because he has separation anxiety, Silas will do best in a home with another dog for him to play with. Silas currently lives with a seven-month-old puppy and is very tolerant and kind with him. Silas is also a good watch dog and will let you know when someone comes up to the house. He will bark at strangers but is very friendly towards them when he meets them. His foster mom adds, “Silas is an awesome dog and will make some lucky family very happy. You could not ask for a kinder dog.”
