We have had Paddi now for approx. 2 weeks. The first few days were a little rough with Paddi as she was very nervous and paced a lot around the house and had a few accidents. We believe that she must have been kept outside a lot because she wants to go outside constantly just to go out. She did not eat her regular food for a few days but would take treats. On the 3rd day I mixed a can of cat food with her dog food and she ate it all up. After that she started eating her regular food dry. Paddi is very playful, but we found out that she ripped right through the soft toys, so we only give her hard plastic or tug type toys now. We have a 2 year old male cat that just disappeared when Paddi arrived and eventually curiosity got the best of him and he started coming around but hissing at Paddi at every turn. Now, in 2 weeks, they lay near each other and sometimes the cat will initiate her to chase him. Paddi's visit to the vet was very stressful for her. She was updated on all her shots and had some blood work. She had an ear infection and we had to put drops in her ears for about 7 days. She didn't like us putting the drops in, but with a little bit of treats, she eventually didn't care that we were putting them in. All in all she seems to be physically fit but overweight. Since she was not spayed, she went into heat. It's almost over so soon she'll go to the groomers soon for a nice bath. Paddi is very sweet and loves attention and long walks.
