Kelly is a friendly and active dog. We have already started to address some of her behavior issues; I think we have finally taught her that she is not a lap dog. Now if we can get her to stop stealing socks, shoes etc. then we will be getting somewhere. Our son Nic, is trying to teach Kelly to 'sit pretty' and to give 'hugs'. She seems to enjoy the attention. Kelly loves to chase tennis balls and enjoys running in our yard with Jack and Jill. What a trio they make. Although Kelly does need some reinforcement to 'heel' when walking, it is a pleasure to walk with her. She doesn't seem to mind that we have cut her food intake in half, hopefully she will lose weight quickly. We have been adding vegetables to her diet, which seems to be an adjustment for her. Because of her mild hip dysplasia, it will be important to keep weight at approx. 78 pounds to avoid putting additional strain on Kelly's hips.
