Pretty 4-year-old Sesame came to GRR when her family had to move from a home with a big backyard to a small, no-yard apartment. She hadn’t had much exposure to other dogs or much experience with socializing out & about, so she’s a shy girl—but her foster family is taking it slow, and Sesame is starting to open up:
She’s reserved with the other dogs, but not at all aggressive. When she first came she would run and hide from them, but she isn’t nervous any more—though she doesn’t want to play much yet. She interacts great with the cats! She’s calm indoors and hasn’t had a single accident. She loves water sports and enjoys baths and brushing, too, though she’s a bit touchy about having her hips and tail messed with.
At first I didn’t think there was a typical Golden inside this timid girl, but for sure there is! Now she will play when you want to and cuddle when you are just sitting.
