Cassie is a big exuberant red girl. She stands well over 2 ft high and is about 3 ft long, weighing in at 90 lbs. She walks well on a leash, can be excitable, but generally is well behaved. She is mouthy at times, and jumps up on people when she gets excited, but she is improving in that regard. She responds to most commands fairly well, except 'sit.' But this is probably attributable to her dysplasia problem. When she does sit, she will often sit 'at attention,' with her chest held out and her head held in a rigid position. She very much craves attention, loves to play, loves to play ball (she's just beginning to learn to return it), loves going on walks, and wants to be in the house all of the time. She can be very stubborn at times, laying down and refusing to move. She will, most of the time, respond when a leash is attached to her. She has a meek personality, allowing my much smaller GR Ginger to constantly mount her and Cassie will simply stand and allow Ginger to do it. Cassie has become more comfortable here each day and has started barking at all dogs and people who walk in front of the house. She will stop barking when admonished. Many times she still seems sad and doesn't seem to quite fit in. Overall, she's a sweet girl who needs a lot of attention, training and companionship.
