Description:
Hershey is a beautiful soul. Hersey needs to be with another dog and someone that is home during the day. He had the misfortune to have an owner that kept him outside and did not neuter him or give him heartworm preventative. He underwent heartworm treatment and now has a clean bill of heath. Hershey gets along with other dogs and even cats. When I first brought him into foster care he would not come in the house, when I got him in he would lay on his belly and not get up. After awhile he started coming in on his own and now he likes to sleep on the big doggie bed on the floor. He is a beautiful boy with fantastic coloring. German Shorthaired Pointers are known for being very loving dogs. He has never had any training and could benefit from obedience training. He will make a great addition to any family. Hershey needs a lot of exercise and needs to be with a family that is willing to provide the exercise he needs. This breed, is a very good family dog but was bred to hunt, so exercise was bred into him. He loves being a part of a family and not staying outside by himself.
