Description:
Jasper is a neutered male GSP weighing 40 pounds (needs to add a few pounds), and is approximately 18 months old. He is about 60% solid liver, otherwise white/black-ticked, with his natural tail. Jasper was found stray on March 2, 2010 in Spotsylvania County, Virginia and is now in foster care in Fredericksburg, Virginia. He has a new microchip, is heartworm negative, and has all his vaccinations including canine flu, bordetella, distemper and rabies. Jasper is very attentive, affectionate and friendly, and loves to be with you around the house and yard. He is house trained and will ask to go out. Jasper is very intelligent, knows his basic commands - sit, stay, come and no - and loves to be released to “run like the wind” and race back to you. He shows no interest in running off, as human contact is his primary interest. Jasper loves car rides, is well-behaved with other dogs and people at the vet and PetSmart, and is quickly learning “heel.” Jasper has separation anxiety, so his ideal home will have at least one other dog, and/or provide relatively constant human contact. At this time in his life, he can be destructive if left alone too long. Jasper is very good with kids and has one in his current home. Jasper is located in the Fredericksburg, VA area.
