Description:
Daisy Mae is a 5 year old female, weighs 50 lbs, is recently spayed & microchipped, and is finishing heartworm treatment. Daisy Mae is a rare, beautifully marked, black and white GSP. Although she is a grown-up girl, she still has a puppy-like personality. She likes ear scratches and will sometimes snuggle on the sofa with us. She's very easy-going with both dogs and people, and she would be great in a family with kids or another dog. She is not especially high-energy, but does enjoy playing with toys and chewing on bones. Daisy Mae will definitely need physical fencing. She has some serious prey drive and has shown an unhealthy interest in our cat, so a cat-free home will be necessary. We are working on basic obedience commands (sit, stay, come) and while she appears to be responding to her name, a good, structured basic obedience class would be very beneficial. She will 'work for food'. She does walk well on a 'prong' collar. Daisy Mae does not appear to be destructive at all. She can be crated, although she protests briefly before settling down. She is house trained and will let you know when she needs 'out'. She occasionally retires to the living room crate to get some peace and quiet. Daisy Mae is a good traveler. She hops right into the car and will settle down within a few minutes for the ride. She does great at the vet's office. She has slept in a crate in our bedroom at night, and has done well sleeping on her dog bed, too. Daisy Mae is a sweet, gentle girl whose needs are simple and few. She hopes you will come and meet her so she can wag her tail and work her way into your heart! Daisy Mae is in Aberdeen, MD.
