Cocoa is a young solid liver neutered male GSP, around 18 months. He is utd on vaccines and microchipped. Cocoa had an irresponsible owner and was hit by a car in November, losing the use of his leg. The owner didn't seek care for Cocoa and we didn't hear about him until December when a good samaritan took him in. He no longer has the green bandaging on, those pictures were taken just after the amputation surgery. Cocoa is now back to normal and is an active young GSP. The loss of a leg has not slowed him a single step. He is being fostered with 2 male GSPs and a cat. He is doing well with all of them. He is house and crate trained. Please don't think of Cocoa as handicapped, he is certainly not that. Oddly enough we had a rescue dog in 2009 named Simon who was hit by a car and lost the exact same leg. We are happy to let you speak with his new owner, Simon was recently in a marathon.
