Description:
Benson is a gorgeous German Shorthaired Pointer (appears to be purebred) who is very lucky to be in a wonderful foster home right now. Benson is ~ 2-3 years old and was found running around the town of Benson in Cache Valley, Utah. In fact, when he was noticed by Four Paws' director, he found a way to get to her and jumped right into her car. Despite efforts to locate his people, Benson is still with Four Paws Rescue and would now like to find his forever family. His foster Mom reports that he is house trained, crate trained, good with other dogs, and great with people, including kids. We don't know how he is with cats, but he did a great 'point' at the cats at PetsMart when he went there for a visit. He needs lots of activity and exercise, and also lots of love and contact with his people. He loves to snuggle. He gets cold really easily and shivers so hard he can barely walk when he goes outside since he has hardly any fur, so he loves to have a blanket or towel over him (or wear his coat) to warm up when he comes in. He loves to flush out birds at the park, and loves to go in the river. He needs a very secure yard, and will run away when let off leash, but comes back eventually, when he's ready. We don't know if he's had formal training or if it is just genetic, but he seems to have mad hunting skills. Benson's adoption fee is $125, which includes his neuter surgery and vaccinations (parvo/distemper and rabies.) If you would like to meet Benson, please email us: scfourpaws@hotmail.com or leave a message @ 435/752-3534. Please be patient with us getting back to you as we are all volunteers with full-time jobs. Thanks for your interest in this wonderful dog!!
