Description:
Logan is a 51 lb 3 year old male GSP. He is neutered and will be up to date on shots in early January. Logan came to us from a shelter in WV. His owner could no longer care for him. He is housebroken and crate trained. He is being fostered with a male and a female GSP and he is good with both of them. He is not a dominant dog. He loves everyone; he is a sweet and handsome boy. He loves his neck and chest scratched. Logan doesn’t show any interest in chewing things that aren’t his. He doesn’t have a real interest in chewing bones and is picky when it comes to treats. He is a good eater and eats slower, enjoying every nugget. He knows his name and he knows sit, down, no, off and take it. He will come when his foster Dad calls him (especially outside) but he will not come when his foster Mom calls him. Logan may have been hunt trained; he would not be good with cats. He enjoys chasing squirrels and bunnies. He is fast. Logan should go to a home with a 6 ft. fence or e-fence. He hasn’t been trusted in a 4.5 ft fence without a leash because he does show and interest in going over. Logan has a goofy side and is definitely silly. He moves like a gazelle, he is long and lean and sways his head side to side when he is excited. He is good at the vet and in the car but he should be crated if traveling alone. He is good in the house and will often lie down especially in the evening. Logan would be a great walking or running companion. He walks well on a leash but he will need a prong collar especially while the squirrels are running everywhere. Logan will sleep on a dog bed but he does prefer to sleep with his humans. He is a good sleeper, not an early riser. He is happy to stay in bed late. We think Logan is probably too much for a home with small children. Logan is being fostered in Elkton, MD.
