Description:
UPDATE 3/18: Tess has gone into foster care to work with professional Schuzhund trainers for basic obedience and training. She will be learning several commands including: sit, down, heal, release, wait, as well as tracking training. We will update as she learns knew skills.
Tess is a beautiful pure bred 1-2 year old 60lb German Shepherd girl who was rescued from a kill shelter in Bakersfield. She is VERY smart and playful. She is dominant with other dogs, so a family with no other dogs would be best for her. She is super sweet and would be a wonderful dog for someone that is looking for the ultimate companion. She has a good strong drive, so something like flyball or anything challenging (maybe even search and rescue) would be a good thing for this girl! We are currently working on her leash walking and basic commands. Tess is up to date on shots, spayed, micro-chipped and comes with a free month of pet insurance. Adoption fee $275.
Please fill out an online APPLICATION if you wish to adopt. The rescue suggests obedience training for all puppies and dogs. All dogs are up to date on their shots, dewormed and spayed or neutered. Pet Matchmaker Rescue is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.
