Description:
Meet Sara Lee A very smart girl, Sara Lee is catching on to the new house rules quickly! Someone will really have loads of fun with Sara Lee and have a friend for life. She'll be great with an active woman- on hikes, camping and trips on the lake. She's a swimmer! She seems to prefer women to men. Through no fault of her own, poor Miss Sara Lee has now been in 3 different foster homes so she really needs a forever family to step forward for her. Very young for her age with boundless energy and a whole wide world to explore! She rides well in the car and happily greets people that are unfamiliar to her. This should be encouraged so she will always enjoy meeting new people. (Of course being new to the foster home, she has not yet begun to feel the need to defend her property.) Foster Mom writes, 'Miss Sara will push past you going through doorways, hallways, etc. We are teaching her 'wait' which is what our dogs learned in the way of manners. Now they all know it and will stand back until we get through the door then they are allowed to follow. She's just so excited about everything. She loves to watch you in the kitchen! Of course there's food around, but in the kitchen you are active, back and forth, and such. She likes to look in the dishwasher, the towel drawers, the frig, etc. She's just happy to be with her people.' Miss Sara Lee is now up to date on vaccinations and received high marks from the vet; And heartworm negative, thank goodness! She does show some wear on her teeth most likely from prolonged gnawing to escape the boredom of a kennel enclosure. Since Sara Lee has exhibited a strong desire to chase them, we do not recommend a home with cats or livestock but she will do fine with another similar size dog that wants to play. If you are interested in adopting a new family member from our organization, please complete the online adoption application. It is the first step to bringing home your new family member. All dogs listed as ADOPTABLE, but do not say ADOPTION PENDING in the first line of their bio, are indeed still available. Those marked ADOPTION PENDING are in their foster to adopt homes. We offer sort of trial adoptions to local families so we can be sure it is a good match. Matching the right dog with the right family sometimes takes a while, so your patience is appreciated. Our adoption fees are: $300 for any dog 1 year and younger (BABY) $250 for any dog 1-3 years (YOUNG) $200 for any dog 3-7 years (ADULT) $150 for dogs over 7 (SENIOR) The adoption fee helps cover expenses for the dogs while in the rescue program including the vet check, vaccines, heartworm testing, stool check, spay/neuter , microchip, plus other necessary veterinary care and training to get the dog ready for adoption. Everyone must submit an application before an appointment is made to meet the dogs. We are not a shelter, but a network of foster homes. Therefore there is no one central location where multiple dogs can be viewed. We work BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Unable to adopt or foster? Click the button below to SPONSOR ME VIA PAYPAL
