Description:
Meet Maggie May Maggie May came into rescue from a local shelter where she had been picked up as a stray. We don't know how long she'd been fending for herself but she arrived at our rescue severely underweight, malnourished, heartworm positive, with fly bitten ears and loaded with every possible worm out there. Maggie May is a little shy around people unfamiliar to her, but once she knows you, she is content to be with her person. Of course, the quickest way to win Maggie May's heart is with food ... like most dogs that have been starved at some point in their life, Maggie May is ALWAYS ready to eat! She has gained the weight she so badly needed to put on and has been treated for Heartworm and is now healthy and happy and ready return the love of a new forever family.. Maggie May's soulful eyes tell a story of a hard life, yet she still believes that people are good and Save Our Shepherds will not let her down. The first photo was taken after she'd been here 2 weeks. The others show her condition when she arrived. More photos will be coming as Maggie May is transformed back into the beautiful happy girl she should be.
