Meet Jake Jake is a young male approximately 2 years old (estimated date of birth 1-1-08) Jake was found 'chained to a tree in a vacant lot in middle TN'. Supposely a local vet had 'rescued Jake' and was keeping him chained to a tree in this vacant lot to save his life. Some good Samaratins kept going by this lot every day and seeing poor Jake chained to the tree all alone by himself. He had food and water but no real shelter & after contacting the vet, they paid him to rescue Jake from his present life and brought him to us. It took them about 45 minutes to convince jake that they meant him no harm.
Jake is a little uncertain how to behave with other dogs but we are working on that. He is shy with strangers but already loves his new foster momma dearly. Like most rescue dogs, once he is bonded with his new forever, you will have a devoted loyal friend for life. Jake is still learning house manners and has the occassional accident if you don't get him outside quick enough. We are working on that too.
Jake would probably do best in a home where he can be the only dog and receive all the love and pampering and undivided attention he deserves.
