Cherokee, Kee-we call her, is a lamb in wolf's clothing! This young lady arrived to us so malnourished and unkempt she looked like a mangey coyote. Her personality sparkled, even then. She smiled her wolfy smile and wagged her silver tail and looked so sure that her life was going to get better. We made sure she was right. Her manners are wonderful; she knows how to walk on leash beautifully and she waits for her supper patiently. She is also housebroken, though I still crate her when we go out for the day. Kee loves people of all sizes and knows better than to jump-up on them. Riding in the car is one of her favorite activities, along with going for long hikes once she gets there. She adores other dogs and can be good with dog-savvy cats (she needs supervision in this area, as she also loves to chase!). Kee is VERY intelligent and can open our storm door with one paw; she can only let herself back in if it is open slightly, but she's working on that! A fenced yard or dedication to leash-exercise is a must with Kee. She's not overly active in the house -she is quite happy to gnaw on her bones or play quietly with her toys. This is one gorgeous, amazing dog! Cherokee's adoption fee will be $400.
