Courtesy post: Sky is located near Birmingham, AL Please, Meet Sky. He is a mutation White German Shepherd. He is beautiful champagne color like I have never seen before. Gorgeous face with big expressive brown eyes. He opens doors by turning the door knob! He has a great disposition and has never bitten anyone. He does not have the offensive doggie odor we sometimes experience.Minimum shedding and clips down beautifully. Great coat. I fostered him, through Coastal White, then found him what I thought was a good home. They no longer kept him as a house dog and put him in an electric fence. It did not contain him and neighbors shot at him yesterday. So...I have him back. Sky is a good house dog, but has been loose and free too much and I cannot take him out on a leash under these circumstances. (Correction here - he did fine on a leash today! Maybe he has begun to readjust) He is strong and spirited. He is very smart - sits, and stays shakes hands- not as well as before. Discipline, which I had established has been lax. He really needs good obedience training. I had made a lot of headway, but now he knows how to run free! I do not have a fence out here. My other dogs never leave home. I am looking for someone with a GOOD fence with lots of room for him to exercise and also be a house dog and sole companion. He has learned to chase squirrels through the woods and it is ingrained, it seems.
