Description:
Please contact Kristen (hominyvalleyrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet. Beginning on January 18th, please vote for us on The Animal Rescue Site! If we win, we could get up to $10,000 in grants to help rescue dogs! Think of how many German shepherds we could help with $10,000! It's completely free to do, and we promise you won't be bombarded with pop-up ads or have to sign up for anything. You just go to the web site by clicking this image, then go to the 'Shelter+ Challenge' tab (on the right hand side), enter our name, Hominy Valley German Shepherd Rescue, the state (NC), and submit! Every time you vote, or tell a friend to vote, you are making a huge difference for us. Please vote today, tomorrow, and every day! We only have until April 18th! You can also help feed shelter animals by clicking the purple button that says 'Click Here to Give -- It's FREE!' on their main site, so feel free to do that every day as well when you go to vote for us! Krieger means 'warrior' in German. He is 4 years old and was on death row with one of his sons at a gassing facility. We heard about them and pulled them both out of there on the day they were scheduled to be killed. He tested high positive for heartworms on February 23. Krieger is crate trained, but he is still learning how to walk on a leash, sit, come when called, etc. His previous owners did not do any training at all with him. He is a gorgeous black and red color. He's a sweet boy who loves to give kisses, and he is tall. When he stands on his hind legs, he's as tall as me, and I'm 5'3'. We believe he could go to a home with (an) other large dog(s), but have not tested him around small animals. Krieger will be available for adoption
