Description:
Please contact Kristen (hominyvalleyrescue@gmail.com) for more information about this pet.
This is Hunny. She is almost 2 years old, survived parvo as a puppy, lived in a home with three other dogs who picked on her and stole her food, and was absolutely full of intestinal worms when we got her. She weighed just 63 pounds, and should weigh around 75-80 pounds. We are feeding her several small meals a day.
On top of all of that, she has a heart condition that may require surgery to fix. Her vet costs to date, which include X-rays and a complete blood panel and urinalysis, are $316.13. She still needs an ECG, which will run between $500 and $900, to determine if what she has can be managed with drugs and/or repaired with surgery, which will likely cost between $2,000 and $5,000. According to Dr. Shelton, if her condition is left untreated, her days are numbered; each day is a gift.
We do not normally ask the public for monetary donations, but if you could spare a few dollars towards the cost of Hunny's diagnosis and/or treatment, it would be greatly appreciated. We do not have nearly enough money allocated to be able to afford everything that Hunny needs.
