Speckles has a sad story to tell. Her owner went to the hospital and might never come out. Her owner loved her enough to let us take her to foster and find her a new home. She is a wonderful older dog. It takes her a while to warm up to you but she is full of doggie kisses once she knows she can trust you. She hasn't been around alot of kids or dogs but does well with older kids. She likes to play tag with other dogs. Speckles, is a very well-mannered dog; wants to please and listens when reprimanded. She is very loyal and will follow you everywhere. She is housebroken, knows some commands, and walks very well on a leash. She has lots of energy for an older dog, but will not jump on you. She loves to be with other dogs and is friendly around older children. Doesn't mind being outside on a chain, but will bark (and sometimes howl like wolf!) she is cautious initially, especially around men, but warms up to you quickly. Overall she is a wonderful dog! She would do best with someone who has lots of time to spend with her. After all, she's ready to retire! Speckles is a little older, but is still very active. She is spayed, utd on shots, and ready for her new home. If she can retire and relax with you, call her foster home at 605-730-2076.
