Lucy is a super-sweet, lovable and playful sweetheart. She and her 3 sibblings were dropped off at a shelter in North Carolina by their owner due to 'too many dogs' at the home. Imagine that for a little 12-week old baby? Worse than losing her only home, Lucy and her siblings were slated for destruction ONLY 2 DAYS AFTER THEIR ARRIVAL! The reason? They were 'very shy, skiddish, and had worms', and therefore, not adoptable! Luckily, a wonderful rescue lady pulled these babies from the pound on their destruction date, and here they now find themselves in RI, ready and waiting for their new lease on life!Lucy loves to play with her litter mates, as well as with the other puppies and older dogs at her foster home. She walks off the leash and stays right by your side. She is very loyal and affectionate, and loves to jump up in a lap and give crazy puppy kisses. She seems to know small children need to be handled differently, and tones down the 'kissing' to a level perfect for little people. She loves chewing, playing, and fetching toys. She has brindle markings on her legs, with the majority of her colloring dominated by black and white. She shows no signs of being 'skiddish or shy', and instead, seems to know she has escaped certain death, and therefore, has so much to be grateful for. She is a Redsox fan and comes with a 6 month supply of puppy breath. Lucy will be ready to go home on Sunday, July 26. A depost of $100 will hold her for you, and will be applied to the adoption fee. Adoption fee is $300, with an additional $100 REFUNDABLE fee upon completion of spay/neuter. ASDR-RI is a 501c non-profit rescue group. All adoption fees go towards the housing, vetrinary bills, transporation from the South, and health-certificate requirements.
