Description:
Hi everyone, my name is Irma and I just arrived here from a shelter in Arkansas, that I called home since I was 12 weeks old. As you can see from my pictures I was very well taken care of by the shelter staff, especially Mike, who always gave me extra attention cause I was his 'best girl' there. I'm about 14 months old and still very much like a puppy, which includes chewing. My foster mom is directing my attention to sterile bones and nylabones, especially when I'm chewing on my paws or my legs. I'm crate trained and housebroken. Living in a house is a whole lot different than living in a kennel, but I'm adjusting nicely. I especially like snuggling up on the couch or bed with my 'Mom' I'm living with a house full of dogs and I get along well with all of them unless I'm laying on the couch or the bed next to 'Mom'; then I will growl at them and raise my upper lip. 'Mom' disciplines me but she doesn't understand that I don't want to share her attention with the other dogs....I want it to be all about me! I LOVE people of all kinds, both big and small. I'm very gentle so kids are no problem, in fact I like kids, they're pretty cool. I'm medium sized and weigh about 50 pounds. 'Mom' says I have ears like a Shar Pei and a beautiful face, which could be a mix between that and German Shepherd. Whatever I am, I'm a girl waiting for her forever family and home, so if you think you would like to meet me please e-mail 'Mom' at Jeans-haven@nycap.rr.com for an application. If you would like to call and chat about me you can reach her at 518-446-1554. Licks and more licks, Irma. Irma is up to date on her shots, spayed, on heartworm and flea and tick prevention, and micro chipped. A donation of $250.00, or more is requested to cover Irma's veterinarian expenses.
