Please contact Cheryl (email@example.com) for more information about this pet.
Sheba is an active, loving, 5 year old pet that loves to go on long runs and chase birds and squirrels in our fenced back yard. Sheba also likes to jump high to watch the neighbor kids play in their yard over the privacy fence. She is house and kennel trained, spayed, and very healthy. Sheba is current on all of her vaccinations, heart worm free, and regularly takes her heart worm prevention medication. Sheba does not like thunder and hides under the couch at the first rumble. The vet has prescribed tranquilizers to help her nerves during storms. Sheba is groomed regularly and behaves very well for the groomer.
Sheba is a family pet and likes to spend time with her family snuggling on the couch or sitting on their laps while they read the paper. She likes to sit on the back of a chair or couch and watch out the window as people walk by. She will bark to the dogs and get very excited if she sees a neighborhood cat. Sheba happily goes into her kennel at exactly 10:00 p.m. and awaits her dog biscuit treat before settling down for the night.
Sheba gets along well with older children and adults – especially those that are willing to throw the Frisbee to her time after time. However, she is very dominate and does not get along well with our smaller female dog (a Shitzu). Sheba needs lots of exercise and will bolt out the door if she has the opportunity.
Despite the challenges of having a high-energy dog, Sheba is loving and loyal and will soak up all of the attention that you are able to give her.

All dogs represented by American Fox Terrier Rescue are spayed or neutered prior to placement, unless there are valid health reasons preventing the procedure (i.e., puppies under six months of age). For those adopting a dog that is not neutered or spayed due to these health reasons, an American Fox Terrier Rescue volunteer will work closely with you, checking with you and your vet to ensure the procedure is done on a timely basis.
