Bean had lived for several years at a local coal mine. He was taken in by a 'rescue' group, where he stayed until they were no longer able to take care of him. He was essentially abandoned by that group, which is no longer in operation. He was brought to me for euthanasia. I have had him in my home for 3 years. He had been shot in the face with a shotgun at some point and the pellets can be felt under his skin. He is totally blind, but is able to use my doggy door and gets around fine both indoors and outdoors. I have 15 dogs living with me and the only problem I have with Bean is that when he unintentionally bumps into one of the other dogs, they snap at him. He always sleeps with me and would be a great companion for someone who has fewer dogs.
