ADOPT-A-BULL RESCUE IS A NON-PROFIT ENGLISH BULLDOG RESCUE ORGANIZATION COMPRISED SOLELY OF VOLUNTEERS DEDICATED TO ASSISTING ENGLISH BULLDOGS THAT HAVE BEEN ABUSED, ABANDONED, NEGLECTED, AND SURRENDERD.
We don't care about his awful stench, his bleeding butt and crusty sores, his horrible dry eyes, his IDC's, painfully sensitive infected ears, smelly yeast infections, horrible breath, infected tail, or the chunks of dirty yeasty flaky buildup falling off him with each step, we can deal with all that, we can fix it..... but he has a tumor the size of a HUGE GRAPEFRUIT under his chin hanging from his neck, solid to the touch. He has a couple of fatty tumors on his body, but another hard mass on his underbelly near his penis. It's been nearly 15 hours since we picked him up from the shelter last night and we are trying not to cry anymore. I just bathed him for the past hour, I wasn't going to because I didn't want to cause him pain, but I had to in order to bring him in my house. He has fleas on what little hair he has left. He hits the floor belly down every time I approach or go to pet him and then urinates everywhere (out of fear). This is one of the worst cases we've gotten. We have a vet appointment this afternoon for complete blood work, x-rays and further testing. We know from the shelter already that he's heartworm positive, but we will retest ourselves to confirm. Wookie's recovery will be both, extensive and expensive and we are committed to this guy until the end. Adopt-A-Bull will give him the best chance he's got at a happy healthy life, but we can't do it without your support. A fund-a-bull has been started to help with Wookie's medical bills, please visit: Wookie's blog on our website for more info: www.adoptabullrescue.com
THE FIRST STEP IN OUR ADOPTION PROCESS REQUIRES ALL INTERESTED PARTIES TO SUBMIT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION. We are foster home based and do not have a commercial establishment/kennel where our rescue dogs are held. Your application must be approved before any appointments are made to meet our bullies.
