Meet Missy, a female, purebred AKC Doberman Pinscher. She has natural ears, with a docked tail.
Date of Birth (whelped) July 6, 2007
Missy was brought to our rescue because her owner switched jobs and is now working ten plus hours a day and felt he did not have enough time to spend with her
This dog is eligible for AKC ILP papers.
The AKC's Indefinite Listing Privilege (ILP), is a program that allows altered dogs to compete in AKC Performance and Companion Events such as, obedience, agility, and other similar AKC activities.
The adoption fee for this dog is set at $175, which includes: $100 placement fee, a $25 rebate upon successful completion of basic obedience training, and a $50 tax-deductible donation (to offset other animals higher than normal medical cost).
Please remember that every animal available for adoption through an A.P.E.-affiliated organization is fully-vetted for its age and only needs routine preventive care. Dogs older then 6 months of age are heartworm tested; all cats are tested for Feline Leukemia and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FELUK/FIV). All dogs are kept on heartworm preventative. Every dog and cat is vaccinated (age appropriate), microchipped, and de-wormed, in addition to being spayed/neutered.
We are asking for interested parties to fill out a pre-adoption questionnaire prior to lining up an appointment to visit the animal(s) at the animal's home.
For more information on our adoption procedures, (such as requiring adopters to travel to central Iowa to pick the animal up when approved to adopt as A.P.E. does not ship animals or meet people half way) or to obtain a pre-adoption questionnaire to become eligible to adopt, please visit our website's Adoption Page.
