Hi! My name's Toby. Let me tell you a little about myself. I'm 12 years old, I'm up to date on all my vaccines, I'm already neutered, I'm heartworm negative and on heartworm preventative. When my foster mom got me out of the shelter, I weighed in at 89.9 pounds! My former family obviously fed me a little too well. But now that I've been on a sensible diet, I've taken off the extra weight on my joints---that will feels really swell. Besides, it makes me more handsome!
My old family moved and couldn't take me with them. I'll never understand how they could have me for 12 years and not consider me a member of the family that needed to be accommodated in their new home. But, I found a great foster home where I'm warm, and loved, and petted, and fed regularly (but not enough for my tastes!), and I have a couple of other dogs to keep me company. I spend a lot of time laying on the back porch in the sun and watching the squirrels run by.
My foster mom says I'm a 'mellow fellow' because I just want to have my ears rubbed. I'm housebroken and crate trained, but I don't destroy any thing in the house, so my mom let's me stay on my own, loose in the house, at night and whenever she is gone. The others have to be crated, but I'm just so special that she leaves me to sleep on the dog bed in the sun. I really don't need a lot of care. I'm healthy, and calm. I get along with everyone, and all I want is some love and a soft bed to call my own. Could you have a place for me?
Toby
