Hi There, I'm Starz. My foster mom named me Starz because of the little white spots inside of my regular black spots. You can see them in the picture below. I have little white spots down the edge of my ear that look like stars, too. I was picked up as a stray, so I'll tell my story as best I can. I'm about 7 or 8 years old. I'm a nice girl and make friends with everyone. Apparently I was not well cared for in my past home because I have ACL (anterior cruciate legament) problems with both my knees. I get around pretty good, but I won't be able to go up and down more than two or three steps at a time. I get up and down a little less than gracefully, but I'll still be on my feet to meet you at the door when you come home! The vet told my foster mom that I might need some pain medications every now and then, but otherwise I'm very healthy. I don't have heartworms or Lyme Disease, my weight is good at 53 pounds, and I will be spayed next week. As soon as that is done, I'll be all ready to find my new forever home. Do you have a quiet home? Could you use a quiet companion? I don't ask for much and I don't need much. A nice slow walk now and then is enough excitement for me! I hope that you will consider me. I know, everyone wants a puppy, and I haven't been a puppy for many years, but I'm a lot less trouble than a pupper. All I want is a soft bed to sleep on (preferably next to your bed) an inch or two off the floor, and two meals a day. Getting my butt scratched or my ears rubbed would certainly be welcomed. Would you like to meet me and see if we are a match? 3/16/2009
