Description:
We restrict our adoption area to Maryland, DC, and Virginia. If you are on the boarder of Maryland or Virginia, please apply--decisions will be made on a case-by-case basis. Hi my name is Rose. I lost my home for no fault of my own. I lived with 7 other dogs and enjoyed the time my dad spent petting me. I'm a liver-spotted, spayed, female Dalmatian that acts much younger than my 11 years. I still love to chase balls or just sit at your feet. I love to sit next to you to be petted. I have a bark that makes me seem like a very large dog, but I only weigh about 40 lbs. I now live in a house with 3 other dogs and a 6-year-old human. Except when I bark or you sit down to pet me, you won’t even know I am in the house, I am that undemanding. [Note that we have her mother, Tiki, and her littermates Sleepy, Sally, and Princess. All of them are wonderful dogs. They have been neglected in the past, but are gentle, good with kids, and get along with dogs and cats.] My favorite thing is to snuggle right up next to you to sleep. I love to “talk,” but act shy with new situations. Sometime in my past I got bitten by something called a tick. I am not sure what that is but I have been told that it gave me Lyme disease. I've been treated fir ut and I feel great. I am told I never had any of the bad effects that can happen with Lymes. I guess we were lucky to find out when I got my yearly exam. As an older dog, I do not require a lot of exercise, but I love kids and can certainly keep up with their activities. If you have a safely fenced yard and a soft bed for me, please complete an application. I am looking for a home where I can get petted and pampered and treated like a princes (but don’t tell my litter mate, her name is Princes). Could you please help me find that home? 11/2/08 For information on any of our other great dogs, please see our web page at www.metrodcdals.org.
